Old layouts

Version 1
This is the very first Layout - but not made by me. I asked another german doller, if I may use her old layout, and she allowed it^^. I like the flowers on it, and the colours are cute.

Version 2
My second Layout. I still can remember the time I worked on it XD. I was that proud of it, beacuse it looked cute. The idea with the ribbon came from Dreaming Dolls.

Version 3
(It already was deleted after a little time) also was inspired by another one, but I can't remember the site :(. I actually liked it, since it was simple but detailed. But after making a mistake with the HTML-Code, I destroyed it, and deleted it.

Version 3.2
Again I can remember the time I was making Sailor Chibimoon for the layout. I worked quite long on it, and even I asked my brother, what he thinks about it XD.

Version 4
It's one I still like a bit. For the hair I used a tutorial from a sister XD. The little lines where hard to make, but I often used the function "copy" XDD. The background was made in MS Paint, I used some different brushes, and just draw some lines through the picture.

Version 5
The picture only shows the header of the layout. I like the dark colours, but I thought it looked too much "graphical", and not like pixel art. I didn't use this one very long.

Version 6
I was inspired by Sakura no Hime (or now Maky Lab). But somehow I didn't like this one, and also deleted it after a short time. The ponys are from "My little pony".

Version 7
I like the colours, they fit together great (in my opinion). The cat is based of a picture. But I also guess, this layout looks too much graphical. But it was in use for some time.

Version 8
I was inspired by Sushi's winter layout, but I never made it looking like hers XD. I like the colours, but there also is too less pixel art.

Version 9
I imagined a little café, but I only made a huge ice cream, and a kind of house. I like the colours, they look very shiny on the grey background. I used this layout very long, since I like it :)

Version 10
The girl is from Rainbow Bride. Even though there's not very much pixel art, I like it. Actiually the whole background was covered with the light green lines. But I made a litte mistake, and removed some parts. But I liked my mistake XD. So I decide to leave it like this.

Version 11
Version 11. It's one of my favourites. I love the colours, and everything was pixeled. I also like doll, it was one of my first try with a new hair shading style. I was very sad when I removed it, but I think there should be a new one sometimes.

Version 12
Version 12. A very detailed one, and I was proud of my patience XD. I looked for sea pictures on the WWW, to make (some XD) realistic fish and plants. Some of them are based of a picture^^'. And I like the idea with the patterned lines of the navigation and content, I made the shoutbox right beside the content, so that it's visible all the time.

Version 13
Again a layout that took me quite a long time. I tried to add some different plants, and things, to get a detailed layout. I really like the header of this one, the only thing that disturbs me, is the not-so-good rest of the layout - I could have made it better. The doll in the layout was for a contest (Zodiac - Virgin), but I thought it fits nice into a "Jungle".

Version 14
This layout took me more than 2 months to finish, or better to find the inspiration to finish it. I like the landscape, but the layout itsself was a bit chaotic, in my opinion. Also the purple parts didn't work so well with the more natural colors. It was online for around 2 months only.

Version 15
From January 2008-June 2008. I wanted to have a darker one where the dolls are a nice contrast to. I used a doll I actually like (except the castel <.<). I couldn't find a nice background, or also didn't want to pixel a huge scenery, so I simply created a background in a programm. Eventhough it looks more graphical than like pixelart, I like the colors. New in this time period where "Palettes, Props and Tutorials". A reason why I wanted to have another layout probably was the season. This layouts is too dark for summer. I also improved a lot in HTML/CSS/PHP/Javascript, soI just hated the code which was generated from a programm. Another little reason could be, that everything looked a bit "fast done", and I wanted a layout which is easy to navigate and everything.

Version 16
From End of June 2008-July 2009 I actually wanted to finish it months ago. But I didn't have a good idea for it. After EE had a contest where the theme was "Apple Orchard" I started to draw a tree XD. Another little break again. Then I remembered a drawing I did some time ago. I never finished the coloring, so I thought: Why not take an angel out of the picture and pixel it?. I like it really much, the colors are very soft but still not too lighten. I'm also happy I could wrote the complete code myself, and use PHP/Javascript a little :) What's new again? Probably a bigger navigation, and some dynamic effects. I'm also thinking of creating a kind of link-list and a puplic dollmaker...Let's see.

Version 17
When I was making this layout, I switched it a couple of times. Once I didn't like the 'dark feeling' of it anymore, but in the next day I couldn't see the too light one (which is a finished layout now, too) anymore. This is probably one reason, 'cause the layout took me ages. Now it's the glitter-purple one, and I'm satisfied. The colors could be a bit more muted, but the next layout is coming soon XD. The biggest step with this layout was a VALIDE CODE. That means that the html/css-code is 100% correct, and it's the job of the browsers to interpret it correct. All you can do is to write a correct code, but the rest is completely up to the browsers. So shout at your browser, if any mistakes appear on the site <.<
And the code was the second reason, for working so long on the layout. But now I can switch layouts much more easily. I'd recommend everyone to try to get a valid and clearly arranged code ;)

Version 18 The current layout. I finally made my site with a CMS (Content Management System), which is called Joomla. I kept the layout very simple and played a bit with colors, instead of having a huge picture in it. I first wanted to manage Joomla a bit better, before doing a very complicated layout. This layout took me very, very long, since I needed to create every part of my site new with joomla. There were also lots of mistakes/problems with my 'first' try at Joomla, and these always took some time to solve. I hope updating will be more easier with Joomla now :)
